The aim of AdHocNets 2016 is to provide a forum that brings together researchers from academia, government laboratories, as well as practitioners from industry, to meet and exchange ideas and recent research work on all aspects of Ad Hoc Networks. Held annually since 2009, the eight edition of the event will consist of keynote talks, technical sessions, and associated workshops.

Topics of interest to the Conference are:

–          Network architectural and protocol design;

–          Spectrum related issues in ad hoc networks;

–          Metrics for ad hoc networks;

–          Cognitive ad hoc networks;

–          Cross-layer design;

–          MAC, routing, and transport protocols;

–          Resource allocation and management;

–          Network control and management;

–          Power control and management;

–          Topology control and management;

–          Quality of service provisioning;

–          Service discovery;

–          Ranging and node localization.

AdHocNets 2016 is pleased to present our Keynote Speakers  from Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Prof. Mohamed Ibnkahla and Prof. Hussein T. Mouftah

AdHocNets 2016 will also host 2 workshops: Workshop on practical ad hoc network security and vulnerability, that will focus on new and innovative security solutions for ad hoc networks, with a preference for solutions that have been implemented and tested at a prototype stage and the Convergence of Wireless Directional Network Systems and Software Defined Networking Workshop, that will focus on Software Defined Networking (SDN) as a paradigm is a promising technology to simplify network management and allow rapid reconfiguration of networks.

Accepted papers will be published in the AdHocNets 2016 Conference Proceedings and by Springer-Verlag in the Lecture Notes of the Institute for ComputerSciences, Social-Informatics and Tele-communications Engineering (LNICST) series to be made available through SpringerLink Digital Library, one of the world’s largest scientific libraries. Proceedings will be submitted for indexing by Google Scholar, ISI, EI Compendex, Scopus and many more. Selected papers may be invited to publish in the EAI Endorsed Transactions on Mobile Communications and Applications. Extended versions of selected Best Papers from the conference will be considered for publication in the ACM Springer Mobile Networks and Applications (MONET) Journal Special Issue on Ad Hoc Networking and Emerging Applications.
