The exponential growth of wireless data traffic urged the international wireless industries and academia to lay out a new wireless network standard which is 5G.

It is generally believed that the future 5G network may need to be engineered to meet a multitude of stringent requirements in terms of cost, energy and spectral efficiency, number of connected devices and latency.

Cognitive Radio is one of the promising techniques to meet these requirements by exploiting underutilized spectrum bands especially at microwave frequencies where there is a spectrum crunch.

CROWNCOM 2015 is 10th international conference on Cognitive Radio Oriented Wireless Networks and Communication and will be held April 21 – 23 in Doha, Qatar. Its focus is to discuss research findings on the cognitive radio technology and, to highlight the opportunities, challenges and potentials of cognitive radio for realizing the future 5G network.
