Call for workshops: WiSATS 2016

The 8th EAI International Conference on Wireless and Satellite Systems (WiSATS 2016) will take place in Cardiff, Great Britain on September 19-21, 2016.

The Conference will held two workshops:

- The International Workshop on Wireless, Computing and Satellite Systems Security (WCSSS 2016), which aims to serve as a premier international forum for discussions, bringing together academic, industrial and governmental researchers along with practitioners, standards developers, policy makers and students interested in future information and communications security techniques, systems, and applications.

Topics of interest to the Workshop are:

  • Authentication, authorization and accounting;
  • Information Security protocols and architectures;
  • Security in social networks;
  • Security in parallel and distributed systems;
  • Security in wired, mobile and wireless communications;
  • Network Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Firewalls, Packet Filters;
  • Security in grid/cloud/pervasive computing;
  • Public Key Infrastructures, Key Management, Credential Management;
  • Security and Privacy polices;
  • Network and Internet Forensics Techniques;
  • Secure Routing and Security Management;
  • Application security, Malware, viruses, botnets, etc.;
  • Embedded system security.

The Paper Submission Deadline is on 31st May, 2016.

 

- The 2nd International Workshop on Communication Applications in Smart Grid (CASG 2016), which goal is to serve as a premier international forum for discussions on the future role of communication systems in the Smart Grid, bringing together academic, industrial and governmental researchers along with practitioners, standards developers, policy makers and students, with backgrounds in communications, energy, control theory, power systems, signal processing and information systems.

Topics of interest to the Workshop are:

  • Access Network Performance;
  • Privacy and authentication;
  • Smart Grid Testbeds;
  • Data management and forecasting;
  • Smart Metering (SM) & Automatic Metering infrastructure (AMI);
  • Smart Grid Networks, Reliability and Recovery;
  • Satellite applications in Smart grid;
  • Communications & Algorithms for V2G Smart Grid Applications;
  • Smart Grid markets and mechanisms;
  • Smart Grid standards, Protocols;
  • Smart Grid Communication & Networking  implementations;
  • Security, Cyber attacks, Smart Grid Security;
  • Distributed Algorithms.

The Paper Submission Deadline is on 31st May.

Accepted papers of both workshops will be published in Springer’s LNICST series and will appear in the SpringerLink, one of the largest digital libraries online that covers a variety of scientific disciplines, as well as in the ICST’s own EU Digital Library (EUDL). LNICST volumes are submitted for inclusion to leading indexing services, including DBLP, Google Scholar, ISI Proceedings, EI Engineering Index, CrossRef, Scopus.
