GOODTECHS 2016, the 2nd International Conference on Smart Objects and Technologies for Social Good, will take place in Venice, Italy on November 30 - December 1, 2016.

The Conference is interested in experiences with the design, implementation, deployment, operation and evaluation of smart objects and technologies for social good, but also refers to those areas where ICT is currently less widespread, hoping that it may represent a societal development opportunity rather than a source for further divide.

Keynote speakers at GOODTECHS 2016 will be Dario Maggiorini and Laura Anna Ripamonti, from University of Milan.

Highlights:

  • All accepted papers will be submitted for publication in Springer and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library, one of the world’s largest scientific libraries.
  • In addition to the main Conference Track, authors can choose to submit their contribution to the following focused Special Sessions.
  • Proceedings are submitted for inclusion to the leading indexing services: Elsevier (EI), Thomson Scientific (ISI), Scopus, Crossref, Google Scholar, DBLP.
  • Authors of the Best Papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their work through one of the following EAI Endorsed Publications: Ambient Systems and Pervasive Health and Technology.

Paper Submission Deadline: July 8th, 2016

Acceptance Notification: September 25th, 2016

Camera-ready Deadline: October 16th, 2016
