ArtsIT 2016, the 5th EAI International Conference: ArtsIT, Interactivity & Game Creation, will take place in Esbjerg, Denmark on 2-3 May, 2016 at the Esbjerg campus of Aalborg University and will be co-located with the 1st EAI International Conference on Design, Learning & Innovation (DLI 2016).

The ArtsIT series of conferences have been created to provide a platform where researchers and practitioners in the arts and humanities, who have a keen interest in contemporary IT developments, meet with individuals working in the fields of computational technologies and IT who, in their turn, profess to strong ties to the fine arts and the design disciplines in their output.

The conference presents a valuable opportunity for researchers, artists, designers and industry members both to showcase new, cutting-edge ideas and creative output that will help shape the future of art and technology, interactive design, and game creation, as well as to gain insights into novel innovative technologies and trans-disciplinary activities that are making strong impacts across these disciplines.

Keynote speaker of the conference will be an expert in computational vision, vision-based interfaces, serious games and rehabilitation, Dr. Antoni Jaume Capó (Balearic Islands University).

“The vision is to attract young researchers and practitioners”, said Prof. Anthony Brooks (Aalborg University Esbjerg, Denmark), General Chair at the Conference, in our interview.

Selected authors will be invited to publish their texts in the International Journal of Arts & Technology (Inderscience) and Metaverse Creativity, a peer reviewed academic journal published by Intellect, UK and in the EAI Endorsed Transactions on Creative Technologies or the EAI Endorsed Transactions of Serious Games.
